As their Business Development Director, you would be responsible for selling online and telephone fieldwork solutions into research agencies, media agencies and management consultancies. Experienced in the industry, you will be known for delivering for your clients and being a true ambassador for your company. A self-starter who is able to take responsibility for identifying prospects, building pipeline and achieving revenue targets, your responsibilities will also include leading marketing activities for the firm and how they are positioned on things such as LinkedIn and Twitter with thought leadership. An aptitude for presenting case studies and work at conferences would be a welcomed but not essential
As a sales role, it's not a high pressured targets focussed business but they are looking for someone experienced enough to come in, develop their own strategy and go about building new accounts and revenue. You will have the autonomy to introduce the business and then produce the quotes to grow the accounts, so you will enjoy the control and ability to react commercially to opportunities. There is plenty of scope to grow your revenue and build support once revenues reach a level that requires this. The management consultancy sector in particular is an area they are keen to develop, so someone well positioned here would be seen as particularly interesting for them.
