This enormously influential business in public consultation and research consulting seeks a mid level researcher to play a key role in the delivery of client projects to understand society’s response to a wide range of transport and infrastructure related issues across the UK.
You will work on a diverse and developing social research programme which runs right across this broad area including aviation, digital, energy, housing, transport and utilities. The role is very wide ranging with a mix of social and customer research, using multiple methods and innovative approaches to collect insights and aid improvement. Clients include central government strategists and policy-makers plus those delivering ‘on the ground’. You will support them as they deliver major infrastructure projects and devise policy in areas such as accessible and intelligent travel, autonomous vehicles and ‘smart motorways’.
You will ensure the successful day-to-day management and operational delivery of projects, from ongoing research programmes to small qualitative studies. Since both quant and qual are used, they welcome applications from people with experience in either or a combination of both and if transport/infrastructure policy is not currently your specialist area, they will happily consider applications from those who are keen to immerse themselves in it. Helping clients engage with audiences to improve transport services and infrastructure investment, you will be working on highly visible and essential projects and policies, whilst taking advantage of the superb training and personal development programmes this company has to offer.
