Research and Insights role based within a travel and tourism organisation seeks a temporary exec to cover maternity cover. As part of a big insights team there is a chance for longer term opportunities.   Working in partnership with international businesses in the industry and a broad range of stakeholders this role specialises in the Asian markets and requires you to manage and share customer insights from and across the region.  

The main purpose of The Market Intelligence Consultant will be to lead on analysis of customer data. You will be assisting in developing and implementing the  insights programme at both macro and consumer level. A major responsibility of the role will be to assist an overseas network in understanding visitors and audiences. The role will involve analysis of many key data sources, especially survey data, economic and forecasts, industry data, attitudinal data from syndicated research and many more.

The candidate should have experience of and a passion for both primary and secondary research, numerical analysis and knowledge of research techniques.

You will be responding to ongoing insight needs – from in-depth strategic planning to quick ad hoc requests, keeping the team regularly informed on market performance, macro trends and consumer insights on an ongoing basis, proactively summarising research and insights to create actionable recommendations for business decision making, investigate emerging trends, competitor activity, customer attitudes and market conditions across Asia all delivered in a reader-friendly way through delivering authoritative and visually compelling infographics. You will also assist with commissioning primary research projects.  

You will need to be highly numerate, have proven analytical skills including the ability to interpret numerical data and identify trends, have excellent attention to detail and have experience in an insight or market intelligence role, either agency or client side. Strong communication skills both written and verbal and experience of presenting to a range of audiences is also essential. Proficiency in Powerpoint and Excel including the ability to analyse data and perform calculations. SPSS is highly desirable.
