This highly respected, long standing global consultancy and a leading provider of social research have a fast growing evaluation division working across all departments and areas of policy. They are the market leaders in social research and bridge the gap between government and the public, providing robust research and analysis. They cover broad issues that shape the delivery of public services in modern society and how to engage the public in the policy-making process. Their teams work for every single central government department, the devolved administrations, regulators, agencies and the third sector.
They also work with public institutions to provide robust evidence on the effectiveness and impact of public policies and programmes, and to further provide recommendations to help set policy priorities and strengthen delivery. Their projects are typically large-scale quantitative and qualitative evaluations, and involve inputs from across their evaluation, advisory and research teams.
They currently seek an evaluation specialist at Senior Consultant level to join their specialist policy area covering science, innovation, economic development and industrial strategy working across multiple projects and methodologies. Although it is not essential this is your exclusive background it should be an area that you have a passion for.

You should be analytically minded with close attention to detail and strong writing skills and have knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative approaches to evaluation problems. You should be able to demonstrate a proven ability to lead/contribute on research and evaluation proposals. It would be a plus if you enjoy business and team development and ideally you will have spent some time in consultancy/agency or be able to display commerciality.
