With a pre-eminent hands-on senior team with expertise across strategic communications, political research, brand development and consumer engagement, they have always lead the way on consultation type research.
As an AD/Director you will be responsible for ensuring the story and implications for clients, you will have proven client handling skills and at the more senior end you will find your own ways to build networks and relationships, whether through sector specialism, building your own profile, growing and extending strong relationships with existing clients, or a combination thereof. You will lead the standard in proposal writing and hold ultimate responsibility for delivery on projects. AD/RDs are the trusted point of contact for the senior client. Highly visible on their projects, and engaged in design, fieldwork, and analysis, AD/RDs ensure projects are well managed, profitable, and that they genuinely deliver for clients.
You will be passionate about engaging head on with the issues of the day, both with a domestic and international focus. Some experience of quantitative research would be an advantage, but they will certainly be able to support the development of your knowledge in these methods. Talking to stakeholders, consumers, citizens and employees to understand reputation, develop communication campaigns, facilitate new thinking - these are all areas you will be immersed in.
Both AD and RD’s typically manage more junior members of the team. As you would expect the more senior you are the more expectations there are for oversight of the development targets of team members, and supporting them to meet those targets. Commercially astute, RDs are also responsible for the financial performance of the team, managing their client P&L for their projects and driving growth to meet revenue targets.
