Well regarded and influential Market Insight and Brand Strategy Team is hiring a Senior Insight Executive to join their award-winning team for a 12 month fixed term contract. The Market Insight and Brand Strategy team plays a vital role within this high profile portfolio of household name media brands. Providing insight and analysis across a diverse portfolio of digital and print products you will be part of a fast paced, exciting insights team, working closely with all areas of the business including advertising sales, marketing, editorial, product and strategy.
This role requires someone with a strong grounding in primary research, who loves turning numbers into compelling storytelling. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for insight, media, advertising and understanding consumer behaviour. We are looking for a confident communicator who is comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and external clients.
Responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the in-house campaign effectiveness studies including liaising with media agencies and clients, designing the survey, sourcing sample, survey deployment and reporting and presenting
- Conducting research – this could include running surveys, testing creative copy or new concepts or products
- Supporting with brand tracking studies
- Running research projects that inform strategic decisions across our marketing, editorial and product teams
- Using a range of techniques for analysing data and disseminating findings, ensuring that presentations are understandable to non-specialist audiences
- Managing and optimising timelines for different research projects
- Helping to identify areas of research for thought leadership research
- Supporting junior members of the team, helping them to learn and develop
Skills and experience:
- 2+ years’ experience in an insight role either client side or research agency environment
- Solid quantitative research experience (qual experience is a bonus but not essential)
- Strong understanding of primary research e.g. sampling, questionnaire design, fieldwork management, weighting, data analysis and reporting
- Experience in survey scripting is desirable but not essential
- Ability to present insights in an engaging and enthusiastic way, using storytelling skills to bring the findings to life
- Excellent communication skills – you’ll enjoy presenting to large groups both internally and externally
