Our client’s specialist team of ethnographers are going from strength to strength. They adapted swiftly and decisively to the changing market conditions which enabled them to continue to win business even during the recent downturn. This has set them up for a strong future and due to this they seek to add a further Manager to join a team who are lucky enough to work with a broad mix of clients across both public and a range of commercial sectors.

This role will naturally suit someone who has an ethnographic background but they are also very open to those that have qualitative experience with some exposure to ethnography and would like to focus more in this specialist area. A chance to utilise techniques borrowed from anthropology, filmmaking, market research and the wider social sciences, they offer clients best in class ethnographic research and regularly wins awards!

As a key member of the team you will:

  • Make sure projects run smoothly.
  • Act as the connection between research participants and clients
  • Guide the design of the research
  • Manage the day-to-day with support of more junior and senior colleagues,
  • Tell the stories that impact the clients’ business decisions. 
  • Have a passion for doing thoughtful, interesting and impactful research.

This really is a role where every day will be different. One day you could be exploring the lived experience of patients living with a disability, the next could be analysing video about owning a car or buying hair products it is broad and eclectic. You will work with other teams within the business as well as freelancers and filmmakers out in the field (you could even do a bit of videoing yourself)
