Higher Education Institute is increasing its strategic focus to supply the very best service to its students and hearing student voice is pivotal within that development. This role will provide a key role  on this increased focus and you will be required to further develop qualitative and quantitative projects in order to develop the relevant insights needed. This is a newly created vacancy and so you will have plenty of opportunity to grow and develop the tools and methods needed to deliver your findings to internal stakeholders.

 

Overall purpose of the Job:

  • Conducting research to help monitor and evaluate services, tracking outcomes, impact and benchmarking performance
  • Creating student voice mechanisms to continuously monitor the student experience and actively seek to understand the issues affecting students
  • Creating insight stories from a range of primary and secondary data sources to support strategic and operational planning processes

 

 

Main activities/tasks:

  • To have overall responsibility for the design and delivery of research programme
  • Carrying out end-to-end research projects including leading primary research projects and carrying out secondary data analysis
  • Designing and implementing student voice mechanisms to provide ongoing insights into the current student experience
  • Designing and implementing research to support monitoring and evaluation of existing programmes, activities and services
  • Support strategic planning through provision of student and sector insights
  • Commissioning and managing market research agencies as required
  • To work with internal stakeholders to embed student segmentation models and other insight tools into operational and strategic planning processes
  • To provide professional advice and guidance to staff and elected representatives on research issues and practice
  • To work with third parties and stakeholders on collaborative research projects as appropriate

We seek an experienced primary consumer market researcher with both qualitative and quantitative expertise to work in house of hands on projects. This role will be based in the office in Central Manchester 2+ days a week.
