Research Consultant, Social Market Research

The Social Market Research practice of a world leading transportation consultancy seeks a Research Consultant to further strengthen their team as they continue to grow in the UK and across the world. Having provided transport research and consultancy services in the UK for over 40 years, they have an excellent reputation for the provision of high quality, robust and independent advice. Their expertise spans the sector including surveys, public consultations, stakeholder engagement, attitudinal studies and willingness to pay research.

As a key member of the research team, you will be servicing some of their biggest and most long standing clients including Central government departments, Passenger Transport Executives, Government Agencies and Local Government.

You are likely to be an agency trained researcher having worked on both quantitative, and qualitative projects previously. You will be involved in managing all elements of their market and social research projects from proposal through to debrief. Working across quant, qual and increasingly their own innovative tools, they will be looking to you to embrace this mixed method environment. You may be stronger in one methodology than the other but a willingness to develop in both is vital. Previous experience in public sector/transport research is not necessary. The role is extremely varied and will give exposure to broad methods and custom projects.

This role is offered on a hybrid office/home basis and can either be offered as a full time role or 4 days per week.
